Talk to me for more than 5 minutes about Walt Disney World, and you’re guaranteed to hear how much I love Disney’s Beach Club Resort! It is my family’s favorite resort for a number of reasons, but I’ve narrowed it down to our top 3 reasons your family will love the Beach Club!
1. Location, location, location!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is located in the Crescent Lake area of Disney World. It is directly adjacent to its sister resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort (another fantastic choice due to its shared amenities with Beach Club), and is a short walk to Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, a beautiful resort with a boardwalk reminiscent of 1940’s Atlantic City. Within this area, you have 3 resorts with lots of dining options, shopping, and entertainment, all within a short walk of your resort.
Speaking of walking… Beach Club allows a short, easy walk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot! Within minutes of leaving your room, you could be sampling items from the boulangerie in France or making your way over to Future World on an early morning to “rope drop” Test Track. You can also take a boat to Epcot for an even more leisurely arrival.
Not only does Beach Club offer such easy access to one park – there’s also easy access to Hollywood Studios. You can take a longer walk to this exciting park, or boat service is offered as well. That means staying at Beach Club eliminates the need to use Disney’s bus transportation for two parks! This location was ideal for my family when our kids were often using strollers, as it was nice to be able to get to two parks without the need to fold up our stroller to board a bus.
2. The Rooms, Décor, and Overall Vibe
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is simply beautiful. From its beachy color scheme to the distinctly delicious smell in the lobby, Beach Club just makes you feel like you’re truly on vacation.
The Beach Club’s well-appointed rooms have standard rooms able to accommodate families of 5 and a handful of deluxe rooms available to sleep 6 – a rarity at Disney. The rooms recently underwent some refurbishment as well so they are in great shape.
Although any day is a good day at the Beach Club, the resort really shines at the holidays! Christmas at Beach Club brings in numerous trees and wreaths boasting beachy decor. But, the real star of the show is the gingerbread carousel in the main lobby. I’ve had the pleasure of watching this amazing creation be built in a day, and it is an incredible process!
3. Resort Amenities
Disney’s Beach Club Resort and its sister resort, Disney’s Yacht Club, together share what is widely considered THE best pool at Walt Disney World – Stormalong Bay. This 3-acre pool complex boasts plenty of zero-entry areas, a sand bottom (with sandy areas to play), a lazy river, and even a pirate ship with a long slide, or a short version for the littlest guests. It’s a truly amazing feature and could easily be a place your family relaxes for an entire day – especially with cabana rentals available – or comes “home” to after a busy day at the parks. I always recommend guests staying here leave PLENTY of pool time!
However, the pool is just one of the amazing features at this Deluxe-level resort. There are plenty of options at Beach Club and nearby for some of Disney’s best dining – Cape May Café, Yachtsmen’s Steakhouse, and Trattoria al Forno are just a few that come to mind. Beaches & Cream is a fun ice cream shop offering the classic “Kitchen Sink” dessert – make sure to have a few people share this one!
Beach Club also features a lovely Solarium for a quiet moment away, a well-stocked Marketplace and gift shop, and a beautiful lobby. There’s so much to enjoy at this resort!
I just love Disney’s Beach Club Resort and have been fortunate to stay here many times over the past several years with my own family. Looking to try this resort for yourself? Contact me at katie@teplanners.com to learn more!
