If you are a frequent flyer to Disney Destinations you know there is always something new each time you visit a park or step on a ship. Walt Disney World is no exception. 2024 is going to be a great year for new adventures at WDW!
Dining Plans Are Back!
One of the most exciting things for many is that Dining Plans will be returning. January 9th 2024 will be the 1st day dining plans can be used. This is a prepaid dining program that participates with most restaurants on Disney property. As we get closer to the launch of the plan we can expect a confirmed list from Disney about what restaurants will be participating.
Park Reservations- Time To Say Good Bye!
With the days of a global pandemic behind us, Disney is looking forward to moving along as well. As of January 9th 2024 park reservations will no longer be required by guests with date-specific park tickets. However, guests with tickets that are not based on specific dates will still need to make park pass reservations. This includes Annual Passholders (unless visiting specific parks after 2PM), Cast Members, and other non-date-based ticket types.
Disney’s BoardWalk
A new bakery and cafe is coming to Disney’s BoardWalk. It’s The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers and it will feature a variety of pastries and baked goods, as well as offer a counter service and table service restaurant.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana in EPCOT:
Journey of Water is a new attraction in World Nature. It is the first-ever inspired by Moana attraction to hit the Disney Parks. This is a walk-through attraction that teaches guests all about the importance of the natural water cycle. This attraction plans to open for guests in late 2023.
Communicore Hall and Communicore Plaza in EPCOT
A dedicated Festival area is coming to the park to serve as the new “home base” for EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals and live events! These will be located in World Celeration and help round out the completion of EPCOT’s transformation. CommuniCore Plaza will provide an outdoor space where guests can come to relax and experience all that the Festivals have to offer. CommuniCore Hall will be a multi-purpose built structure and will be housed within the plaza! This hall will host a wide variety of experiences with food, art, live music, and more!
Updated Nighttime Spectaculars!
In Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, a brand new nighttime spectacular will make its debut on December 5th, 2023 in honor of 100 Years of Wonder: the 100th Anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney Company: Luminous The Symphony of Us!

A new ride is coming to Magic Kingdom. As many know Splash Mountain closed in early 2023 to make way for a new ride theming to Disney’s animated film The Princess and the Frog. The new attraction is called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and is set to take visitors through the bayous of Louisiana to help Tiana with her new endeavor, Tiana’s Foods. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is set to open in late 2024.
