Resort Review – Sandals Regency La Toc in Saint Lucia
When you combine the “Hawaii of the Caribbean” and a brand voted the world’s leading all-inclusive Resort company 25 years in a row, you get a unique result. Sandals Regency La Toc in Saint Lucia has breathtaking ocean views with a tropical and luxurious feel. I had the chance to visit Saint Lucia earlier this year to experience all this Resort has to offer for my clients, and I cannot wait to share it all with you!
Arrival and Transportation:
When you arrive in Saint Lucia you will find a small airport with a dedicated lounge for Sandals guests. This is where your transportation will pick you up and take you about an hour and 15 minutes away to the Resort.
As soon as you walk into the inviting, open-air lobby at the Resort you will see bright blues and whites, flowers, and a view of the Caribbean ocean. If you are Club Level or above, you will be taken to the Sandals Club Lounge for check-in, a signature welcome drink, and shown to your room. This is a large 220 acre Resort, so there are a few different main areas.
Rooms
There are MANY different room categories at Sandals Regency La Toc. The main area of the resort is the Emerald Village, where you will find the lobby, beach, main pool, and nightly entertainment. This area can be a bit more lively. These rooms are very close to the beach.
Next is the Pitons Village area, named after the blue two story Piton buildings shown below. This is in the middle of the Resort. Oceanview Bluff Village is at the top of the Resort, with the highest elevation ocean views. The resort has convenient shuttles that come every 5-7 minutes from the lobby that can take you up the hill to this area.
If you are Club Level or above, you get a dry bar in your room, and if you are Butler Level you get your own butler that will learn all of your preferences and help you with whatever you may need such as running your forgotten sunglasses to the beach to drawing you a bath in your tranquility soaking tub to be ready after dinner. Depending on your preferences we would be able to find the perfect room for you.
Beaches and Pools
There is a beautiful crescent shaped beach with soft sand and clear water. Right next to the beach is the Resort’s main pool with lots of loungers and a swim-up bar. You’ll also find pool tables in this area. Next is the “Piton Pool”, with beautiful views and a quieter tropical vibe. Lastly is the pool at the top of the Resort, which has high elevation ocean views and sunset viewing decks.
Dining
Sandals is home to 5-Star Global Gourmet and international chefs. The level of detail, service, and quality is second to none. You will find all sorts of dining experiences here, from romantic to casual, including French, Italian, American, Japanese, and more. It’s hard to pick one, so I will share two favorites.
La Toc is the Resort’s signature dining experience with a French inspired elegant romantic interior and menu. Everything from the wine to dessert (I’m a sucker for Crème Brûlée) was delicious. Armando’s was gorgeous and a hidden gem for breakfast. It serves Italian for lunch and dinner. It is in the Oceanview Bluff area of the Resort so it has lovely ocean views. As you can see below I couldn’t decide on breakfast, so I got two meals!
Other Things To Do
Watch a beautiful sunset on one of their multiple ocean view decks.
Find this hammock that looks like it was taken right out of a storybook.
Admire it’s tropical beauty.
Book an excursion and experience the local culture. I took a Sunset Snorkel Cruise to the Pitons, which is a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seeing the Pitons and all the tropical fish in the protected reef is something I will never forget.
